Umesh Tulsyan [ MD & CEO ]
Umesh is a seasoned Fixed Income Fund Manager with 25+ years of Finance Industry Experience and has managed INR 10 bn+ Fixed Income portfolio for institutional clients. He started with a proprietary book of INR 50 mn; delivered y-o-y returns over and above small saving returns to take the book size to INR 3 bn+. He founded Sovereign Global in 2021 and presently spearheads the company. Today, Sovereign Global is a multi-faceted financial boutique known for its innovative approach and strong partnerships. Umesh has done his MBA in Finance and runs a nationwide healthcare business “Avisa Swasthya” - dedicated to transforming healthcare with advanced diagnostic solutions.
Nidhi Tulsyan [ Executive Director ]
Nidhi serves as the Executive Director, leading the company’s overall operations. With over 15 years of experience in the financial markets, she brings deep industry insight and a meticulous approach to execution. Her core expertise lies in the Fixed Income operations, where she has built a strong track record of performance. Recognized for her go-getter mindset, Nidhi is deeply committed to continuous learning and staying ahead of evolving market trends.
Ajay Minocha [ Director ]
Ajay comes with over 24 years of extensive expertise in Banking, Wealth Management, and Education industries.Throughout his career, he has held diverse roles across prominent banks nationwide before founding his own wealth management firm and ultimately heading the wealth division at Sovereign Global. In addition, Ajay serves as a visiting faculty member at esteemed institutions in Eastern India. He also holds an MBA degree in Finance and is a certified trainer registered with NISM.
Rohan Modi [ Executive Vice President ]
Rohan leads the Strategy and Business Development function for Sovereign Global, driving the company’s long-term vision, identifying growth opportunities, and building strategic alliances. His leadership plays a crucial role in shaping the firm’s direction and expanding its presence in key markets. Rohan brings over 12 years of diverse experience across multiple asset classes. Before joining Sovereign Global, he held key roles at Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance, where he successfully managed strategic partnerships and led high-impact projects. He holds an MBA from IIM Shillong and an engineering degree from KIIT University, Bhubaneswar.
Shradha Singhania [ Vice President ]
Shradha is a Chartered Accountant with over a decade of experience spanning statutory audits, financial due diligence, and debt capital markets. She began her career in assurance, working across India, Australia, and Bahrain, where she built strong expertise in financial accounting, reporting, and analytical review for large corporates and listed entities, along with a solid understanding of global financial practices. At Sovereign Global, Shradha leads the Debt Capital Markets (DCM) vertical, handling origination, mandate sourcing, investor engagement, credit evaluation, and transaction structuring. She combines deep analytical rigor with market intelligence to align issuer requirements with investor expectations. She has further enhanced her capabilities through GARP’s Sustainability and Financial Risk Management program and actively integrates ESG considerations into debt structuring and capital-raising strategies.
Ashima Sabharwal
Ashima is a seasoned investment professional with 16 years of in-depth experience in the fixed income markets. She has a proven track record in debt capital markets, portfolio management, and financial strategy, having contributed to prestigious organizations. Her robust analytical and strategic skills are supported by her MBA degree in Finance.
